Telemochus and Odysseus Hero or Not?

Telemachus is a hero according to the events that have happened in the book The Odyssey. He has the action of a hero throughout the first two books. Telemachus hears of his fathers’ death from the nasty suitors.  Telemachus does not believe what they have said and is being prompted by Athena, goddess of wisdom and the supernatural guide, to go set sail and find his father. After Athena gives Telemachus this advice it becomes his departure with help from Athena and the wind. This also follows the guide of the heroes guide because Telemachus cannot turn back therefore being in the belly of the whale.

Odysseus is also a hero of the book in ways that follow the heroes’ path. He has been away from Penelope for over eight years and still has faith that she will not cheat on him. In the beginning of the book Odysseus is on the island of calypso is not cheating on Penelope as well. When Hermes the messenger is on the island of calypso he brings news of the havoc and disorder on the island of Ithaca. Odyseuss starts his departure off the island of calypso with the raft he made. during the belly of the whale he is in the far sea and posidon brings rath upon him and tries to kill him. the thing saving odyseuss is the magic scarf he has. So far that is the journey of odyessus in book one and two.
